We are excited to offer a data dashboard workshop with Shelly Engelman (Custom EduEval LLC), August 21 & 28, 1:00pm-4:00pm EST, each day, with 15 minutes breaks in between.
Only one person per MHI may participate, but you can register to be on the waiting list.
In this 2-part workshop, you’ll learn how to design interactive dashboards using Excel.
Pre-Workshop Requirements:
Part 1 (August 21) will demonstrate how to use Pivot Tables, PivotCharts, and Slicers to create well-designed dashboards. Participants will be provided with clear and actionable steps that they can immediately use to create interactive dashboards in Excel. Specifically, this session will cover the following topics:
By the end of Part 1, participants will have gained a solid understanding of how to use Excel to create visually compelling and interactive dashboards.
Part 2 (August 28, 2023) will focus on demonstrating best practices in dashboard design to make them visually appealing and impactful. Participants will learn advanced features in Excel, as well as effective layout design techniques. Specifically, the session will cover the following topics, prioritized based on the preferences and needs of the participants:
By the end of this session, participants will have gained a deeper understanding of advanced Excel features and dashboard design techniques to create visually compelling and impactful dashboards that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
As part of the workshop, participants will receive 10 sample interactive dashboards and all PowerPoint materials through the presenter’s website. These materials will be made available to participants before the start of the workshop, allowing them to review the content and familiarize themselves with the concepts and techniques that will be covered in the sessions.
