  • The Maternal Health Learning and Innovation Center aims to be an exceptional national resource center for eliminating maternal health inequities and improving well-being for all families in the U.S. Please help us build a national repository to support individuals, teams, and communities working towards improved maternal health care. Resources will be stored here on our website.

  • MHLIC would request permission to post this and any resource on our site. Do you know a contact person for this resource so an MHLIC team member can reach out about permission to share?
  • Please share any additional feedback or ideas you have as we build our national repository of maternal health learning resources.

Just announced: Save the dates for the 2022 National Maternal Health Innovation Symposium! The 2022 Symposium will be held August 2 & 3, 2022 in Chicago, IL. We plan to meet in-person for the first time since the event’s inception. More details coming soon!

2021 Symposium recordings are linked in the Session Descriptions & Videos section.

The Maternal Health and Learning Innovation Center (MHLIC) hosted the 2nd annual National Maternal Health Innovation Symposium virtually on August 30-31st, 2021.

Objectives:

  • Deepen understanding of current issues in maternal health,
  • Learn about innovative initiatives to improve maternal health, particularly for Black and Indigenous birthing people, and people living in rural areas, and
  • Obtain skills and information needed to create change in communities.

Our goal is that the Symposium will continue to grow into a trusted, evidence-driven, and community-centered space for maternal health professionals and others invested in the well-being of families to connect, recharge, and to advance maternal health equity in the communities in which they serve and support.

Audience:

The Symposium is for everyone interested in improving maternal health outcomes, including public health professionals, health care providers and administrators, community groups, advocates, policy makers, researchers, and many others.
