Plans of Safe Care

In the United States, the amount of pregnancy-associated deaths due to drug use nearly tripled between 2010 and 2019.1 Maternal health has a direct impact on infant health and MHLIC supports the improvement of all aspects of pregnancy outcomes. Plans of Safe Care, is designed to implement safe measures of intervention to ensure the safety and well-being of infants who have had prenatal substance abuse exposure.
