Maternal mortality review committees (MMRCs) identify, review, and analyze maternal deaths, and disseminate and act on findings. Not every state in the U.S. has a MMRC, but every day momentum grows for new MMRCs to be established and existing MMRCs to expand or enhance their ability to review and effect change toward eliminating preventable maternal deaths.
