This training will take place on Tuesday May 2, 9, 16 and Monday May 22.
Each session is from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm ET via Zoom.

This is the prerequisite for the ToP Strategic Planning training that will occur in July 2023.

The training is limited to two persons per team. We can admit extra people if the course does not fill up.

This is the prerequisite for Course II: The Technology of Participation Strategic Planning 

Length 20 Hours Online 

May 2, 9, 16 and 22, 2023 

In this engaging fundamentals course participants learn three broadly applicable approaches in working with groups to build shared awareness, shared agreement and collaborative action planning. 

Immersive demonstrations, discussion of steps, theoretical underpinnings and conversation regarding application in one’s context promote confidence to put new skills to use. 

Learning Objectives.
Participants will: 

• Reflect on how facilitation fits into their self-understanding of leadership 
• Be exposed to the history and foundational values of ToP Facilitation Methods 
• Deepen understanding of group processes in conversation and collaborative problem solving 
• Learn and apply skills in group facilitation in the virtual environment 
• Through theory and practice learn and build confidence in designing and facilitating the basic ToP Facilitation Methods: 

• The Focused Conversation method and framework used to generate meaningful, productive dialogue around any topic 
• The Consensus Workshop method to generate practical and creative group thinking, promote respectful listening and convergence around a reduced set of diverse solutions 
• Action Planning: Quickly plan and prepare a group project for launch, developing shared commitment to timelines, tasks, and success measures.
